Safely measure temperatures on high-voltage components

ATESTEO offers a temperature measurement system called CapSync HVT for safe temperature measurement in high-voltage environments on the test bench. The modular system allows for touchless temperature monitoring in high-voltage applications, such as on coils in electric motors. The CapSync HVT has two input slots where totally eight temperature sensors can be connected. Type K thermocouples are currently supported. While measuring temperature, internal galvanic isolation prevents any voltages from reaching the output or power supply sides.

The compact housing of the temperature measurement system for high-voltage environments can be mounted on DIN rails. This allows the installation of various and multiple instances of CapSync HVT next to each other. The industrial electrical interface enables fast linking to both the power supply and CAN bus. When several modules are connected consecutively, the CAN bus and power supply are linked together. This enhances the efficiency of monitoring temperature characteristics in the electric motor.

CapSync HVT is a module in the ATESTEO CapSync product line, which is used for obtaining measurements at test benches. ATESTEO developed the electronics and software for a variety of measurement purposes. The objective is to easily and affordably set up measurement systems on the test bench to speed up the development of prototypes and new types of drive units. The testing process for electric motors, especially the setup and execution, necessitates strict safety precautions to safeguard workers.
