The standard specifies the requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. These include, among other things:

- traceability of measurements to national and international standards
- the determination and reporting of measurement uncertainty

- Acclimatization of your measuring device:Â Before we begin the calibration, we allow the device to acclimatize in the calibration laboratory to minimize the effects and humidity. This ensures stable conditions for the subsequent measurement.
- Calibration procedure: Comparison of measured values with traceable reference standards under defined environmental conditions.
- Evaluation & documentation:Â Calculation of measurement deviations and measurement uncertainties.
- Issuance of the calibration certificate:Â Issuance of a certificate compliant with standards (e.g., DAkkS calibration certificate).
- Return shipment of your measuring device:Â Once approved, we will securely package your device and ship it back to you. Upon request, we can assist you with arranging shipping or provide suitable shipping solutions.
Time required:
Depending on the device type, the scope of testing, and the lab’s workload, you should generally expect 5 to 10 business days. Thanks to our modern lab infrastructure, we work efficiently and precisely to ensure short turnaround times for you.
To ensure that the calibration can be performed efficiently and correctly, the following information should be provided in advance:
- Device type, manufacturer, and model
- Serial number
- Desired scope of calibration, including measurement ranges and quantities
- Required certificate type (e. g., DAkkS calibration certificate or factory calibration certificate)
- Existing specifications or internal test requirements
- Contact person for inquiries
it is also helpful to know the environment in which the measuring instrument is used and whether specific standards or quality requirements must be met. Information about the current condition of the device – such as previous abnormalities or possible damage – also helps us correctly evaluate the measurement chain.
